Our Story

In 2010, John "Jack" Roche partnered with Norwood Housing Authority to open a home for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The "Yellow House," as it was affectionately named by its residents, used a Collaborative Living Supports program model. In this collaborative, the owner, provider and families are all keys to the success of the residents.

Our residents enjoyed the freedom of living on their own while having the support of staff to assist with Activities of Daily Living. They bonded with their housemates as well as with neighbors in the community. The "Yellow House" became a successful housing model for independent living throughout Massachusetts and beyond.

Building on the success of the "Yellow House," and the need for this type of supportive housing, three more homes were opened in Norwood in 2013. The homes continue to be an extension of Jack Roche and his family.

We are committed to the success of these homes and our residents. We manage and maintain the properties to the highest standard, and have a daily presence in all of the homes. Our residents and their families are part of our family. We continue to improve our homes and the environment in which our residents live.
